These are photos I took during the course

This is a picture of my parent's cat that I took in their home.
It looks like a pressed her patience slightly.
I used the lighting that was there to take the picture, I also zoomed in on the cat.
I did do some minimal editing to correct the white balance and remove spots that had no business being there.

This is a picture I took of designs I drew on my left hand with a pen.
the designs were roughly based on the designs I saw on the cover of the book by Kashmira Sheth Koyal Dark Mango Sweet.
I took this picture standing in front of a mirror and pointing a camera at the reflection, after I took the image I darkened part of the image to make some of the colors look less washed out and with the help of my instructor adjusted the levels on one part of the image so the bright spot did not wash out part of the designs.
I also cropped a part of the image. I find mehndi designs especially the complex ones beautiful and fascinating.

This is a picture I took of downtown Calgary.
I liked the juxtaposition of old and new. I used the late afternoon light to take this picture.

This is a picture of what I think is a Devil's Ivy.
it could be a Monstera that didn't split properly
I didn't use any special lighting however I did correct the white balance.

This a picture I took of Olympic Plaza in the summer.
I cropped the image to remove a railing that used to be visible
I also used bridge to correct the white balance

This is a picture of a Manga display
I like how Manga looks as its usually very bight and colorful which draws my attention
On of the other things I like about Manga is that the cover is usually drawn by the writer so its more likely to be plot relevant than some book covers I've seen
I blurred out the non-Manga and corrected the white balance but other than that the editing was very minimal

This is picture of a train platform taken at around 4:00pm when the platforms start getting crowded
I converted this photo to black and white at the recommendation of my professor an found I liked the black and white version better than the color version
To me having it in black and white gives the piece a timeless feel.
This is a picture of a group of trees planted at SAIT near the Heart Building.
This is a picture of an older pair glasses though at the time this picture was taken they were my primary pair.
They would probably make a good ad shot
